Editor's note: the volume on this record is really low even for a live recording but the playing is great as expected from an organ grinding maestro. Plus it's in Detroit at a classic theatre. There a few great pictures included but they are too wide for the scanner and my webcam wouldn't do them justice so you'll have to wait until I finally get a new camera.
Editor's note: apparently this guy was a big local television celebrity in Cincinnati from the mid 1950s to the 80s. From what I can gather the show was so popular that it aired three original broadcasts a day. The host was tapped to air a nationwide version of the show but he couldn't get out of his contract and the concept was passed along and later developed into the Captain Kangaroo show with Bob Keeshan.
Editor's note: I know how much Mr. Daad loves the religious stuff and hates the Christmas so here's a double-dose leftover from yesterday's Religious Sunday Record Day. I know a few people who went to this school which is in Detroit but not exactly the city as it's on the border of two suburban towns. Anyhow, those people didn't quite benefit from the curriculum and are particularly Satanic. Seriously.

Editor's note: being that tonight the Christmas Mass will be read (I believe) in many places I figured that this would be the perfect time to post it here as well. I don't know what it is about liturgical services but they always remind me of Satanic rituals and are kind of creepy.
SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN
I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS
RUDOLPH, THE RED-NOSED REINDEER
PARADE OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS
FROSTY THE SNOWMAN
AULD LANG SYNE
Editor's note: a great reading of the famous Dickens classic by Olivier. The supporting cast is excellent as well. The carols on the flip side are standard with a classical sound that beats anything that rancid Mariah Carey is putting out every Christmas!
Editor's note: what this appears to be is a voice over thing where songs from different Xmas albums are put on here with a narrative overlapping the songs to make it "live". Well, if you want chipmunks, hamsters, squirrels, dad and all the kids involved in your Christmas record than you've struck gold. A pretty good record despite the furry rodents.
Editor's note: a grinding and glorious organ spectacular that sounds as much gothic as it does Christmas-y. My favorite record of the holiday year. Which isn't saying much because my Christmas finds this year have been fairly weak sounding from my end.
I came across this record on a few blogs and managed to track down some audio from WFMU's site. I would love to hear more from this honky-tonkin' caterwaulin' queen. Listen to the tracks below and I think you will too!
